NASA Technology Infusion Road Tour

On August 13 and 14, 2019, New Mexico Space Grant Consortium collaborated with the NASA Office of Small Business Programs, the Office of STEM Engagement and the Space Technology Mission Directorate to host the NASA Technology Infusion Road Tour at New Mexico State University.

The NASA offices provided the opportunity for historically black colleges and universities and minority serving institution representatives such as deans, professors and faculty to learn about several NASA programs like the NASA’s Mentor-Protégé Program, the Space Technology Mission Directorate’s Small Business Innovative Research and Small Business Technical Transfer, as well as provided information on science research, grants, fellowships and contracts and the Office of Education’s grant and cooperative agreement opportunities.

The Road Tour featured workshops and presentations like the Overview of Minority University Research and Education Project and Finding Opportunities within the NASA Mission Directorates.  Participants also visited the multiple engineering labs at New Mexico State University like the Environmental Lab for Innovative Technologies (EnLITE) and the Robotics, Unmanned Vehicles, Intelligent Systems and Control Laboratory (RUVICON).
