Community College Scholarship
The Community College Scholarship is aimed at supporting the STEM pipeline and strengthen underrepresented minority participation in STEM. The number of awards will be limited and will require NMSGC affiliate community college students to work with a mentor at their home institutions and a mentor at a four-year university to ensure continuity of the higher education path. Scholarship funding: $1,000 per semester for up to two semesters.
Current high school and dual-credit students are not eligible to apply. See eligibility and scholarship requirements below.
Applications for the Fall 2025 – Spring 2026 cycle are now open and will close on April 14, 2025. The next application cycle will begin in January 2026.
If you have applied for this cycle, you will receive an email notification by May 23, 2025. All awards will be scheduled to begin on the first day of the Fall 2025 semester at your academic institution.
Note: An application that does not have a letter of recommendation will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed.
